9th Annual Meeting of Members and Friends
Saturday, October 12, 2018

This year we will be gathering in the Keene Valley at the Keene Valley Congregationalist Church, 1791 NYS Route 73, Keene Valley, NY.

Our 2019 Meeting’s Focus will be on:

  1. Our outstanding award recipients from the area, Kelley Tucker and Dan Plumley;
  2. The State Legislature’s Conservation Subdivision Design bill to amend the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) Act by incorporating conservation development principles and practices, which are currently used by government regulatory programs at all levels in areas across the United States to curtail negative effects of widely scattered exurban development, commonly known as “rural sprawl”.

  • Wild Stewardship Award will be conveyed to Kelley Tucker, for her work with the Ausable River Association to re-connect and restore the Ausable River and its tributaries with their floodplains.
  • Paul Schaefer Wilderness Award - our highest honor will be presented to Dan Plumley for his three decades of advocacy for the highest standards of wild land protection in the Adirondack Park.
