Conservationists honored at Adirondack Wild’s annual meeting

Each autumn, Adirondack Wild: Friends of the Forest Preserve gathers at a location in the northern Adirondacks to celebrate the many accomplishments we’ve achieved throughout the year.

One of the highlights of these gatherings is the recognition of the individuals and organizations that work to protect and advocate for the wilderness of the Adirondack Park. The honorees that are nominated each year receive one of the following awards:

• Paul Schaefer Wilderness Award
• Wild Stewardship award
• Champion of the Forest Preserve Award.
